Joe, aged 19, a member of Stafford and Stone Canoe Club, is currently ranked second in the Team GB rankings and has a great chance of making the Olympics later this year. He’ll be racing for a place in the Olympic squad in April and winning the sponsorship deal will help him to continue his meteoric rise in an expensive business after the London Games.

Joe said: “It’s all eyes on the selection races now that will be held on the Lee Valley white water course (the London 2012 course) in April. I will be racing for a place at the London 2012 Olympics. I’m getting lots of quality time on Lee Valley and continuing to train hard towards that Olympic place and my fingers are crossed for the three days of racing.”
