Watch out for changes to bin collection dates over the next month!

Christmas BinsStone residents are being encouraged to check when their recycling and waste will be collected over the Christmas period.

There will be revised collection dates for green, blue and brown bins as well as the and blue bag from Saturday 18th December until 15th January.

Stone residents can check out the rescheduled dates on their collection day calendars or at www.staffordbc.gov.uk/collectiondays

As a reminder, bins should be out by 7am on the revised collection days to ensure they aren’t missed. If bad weather forces your bin collection to be missed, you should leave your bin out for collection.

Homes across the borough currently recycle more than 50 percent of all the waste collected from the doorsteps. Tips for recycling over the festive period – such as places to compost Christmas Trees – can be found from the website www.staffordbc.gov.uk/christmas-recycling-and-waste-arrangements-2021-22

The cost for having your brown bin garden waste collected has been frozen at £36 for 2022 and to continue using the service go to www.staffordbc.gov.uk/brownbin or contact the council at 01785 619402.
