What do you think of Stone’s polling stations?

A review of all the places residents use to cast their vote in elections is being carried out by Stafford Borough Council.

A list of the current polling districts and stations in Stone and across the borough is now available for inspection on the council’s website – and electors are being asked to say what they think of them, as well as suggesting possible alternatives.

Ian Thompson, acting returning officer and borough council chief executive, said: “We are particularly keen to hear from those who may be expert in access for people with disabilities. If you think a polling station is unsuitable then tell us why and suggest a possible alternative place.”

All comments and suggestions will be made available to the public.

Local electors can make comments by downloading a form from the website at www.staffordbc.gov.uk/pollingreview2011 or by writing to the Elections Office at Stafford Borough Council, Civic Centre, Riverside, Stafford, ST16 3AQ.

The review began on Friday 2nd September and will run until 14th October.
