Author talk with Kevin Mellor
Author Kevin Mellor will be visiting Stone Library on Tuesday, 11th March at 11:00 AM to discuss his literary works and conduct a reading. His book, Ramblings of a Free Man, will be available for purchase on the day for £6.99 (cash only).

Tim Breen’s Merchant Navy memories
On Friday, 14th March from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM, former merchant navy seaman Tim Breen will share the highs and lows of his time at sea.
This insightful talk will be followed by a relaxed session with tea and cake, making it a great opportunity to hear first-hand experiences of life in the merchant navy. No booking is required—just turn up and enjoy.
NHS app help and advice
For those needing assistance with the NHS App, Stone Library is hosting an informative session on Wednesday, 19th March from 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM.
Visitors can drop in for general information on downloading and navigating the app. However, if one-on-one assistance is needed, booking an appointment is recommended. Appointments can be arranged at Stone Library or by calling 01785 895585.
The NHS App provides a simple and secure way to access a range of healthcare services, including GP appointment bookings, prescription management, and medical records. The app is available for download via the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, or accessible via a web browser through the NHS website.
