This weekend’s Stone Food & Drink Festival offers something for the whole family – including the chance to win the brand-new Great Stone Bake Off!
Ticket holders are invited to ‘put their best bake forward’ and bring it along to the festival to enter into the competition, free of charge. Daily heats will be held on 9, 10 and 11 May with Great British Bake Off stars Sumayah Kazi, Matty Edgell and Nelly Ghaffar helping with the judging on the days they are appearing at the fest.
Daily winners will then be put forward to the final on Sunday, when Stone’s Star Baker will be named. Festival director Ed Stant says:

“We’ve been keen to freshen up the festival programme for its 20th year and bring in more interactive fun for visitors.
The Great Stone Bake Off is just one of the challenges taking place on the new Competition Stage over the weekend. It couldn’t be more simple – there are no fancy categories just bring along your very best baking effort, take it to the information point and complete your entry form on the day.
“The overall winner will be presented with a trophy and some goodies from stall holders at the event. We’d love to have lots of entries so, whether you are a master baker or a beginner, why not try your luck and join in the fun?”
