A woman has been charged following proactive foot patrols by officers in Stone.

Lucy Newman, aged 27, has been charged with theft from a shop after officers on patrol stopped and searched a woman in the town following a report from staff at a High Street store.
She has been released on conditional bail and is due to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Tuesday 18 November.
Police said visible patrols are continuing in the area as part of ongoing work to tackle shop theft and anti-social behaviour in the town centre.
