Work has started on Lymestone Brewery’s first pub in Stone, The Borehole, and it’s set to open in March next year.
The pub will be a stone’s throw from the brewery, on Mount Road on the edge of the industrial estate, in a building that has been, amongst other things, National Rivers Authority offices.
Lymestone opened its first pub – the award-winning Lymestone Vaults in Newcastle – in November 2012, but it has always been brewery owners Brad and Viv’s ambition to open a pub in Stone too and planning permission for the Mount Road building was granted this year.
You can keep up to date with developments as the micro-pub takes shape on The Borehole Facebook page.
