Young Champions: 17 Ten-Year-Olds Take on an Olympic Triathlon for Charity

Charity FundraisersIn a remarkable display of determination and spirit, a group of 17 ten-year-old children are gearing up to take on a full adult Olympic Triathlon throughout the month of June. This extraordinary effort is not just a test of their physical endurance but also a testament to their commitment to making a difference in their community.

The children, all students of Stone’s Walton Priory Middle School, have set their sights on completing a 1.5km swim, a 40km bike ride, and a 10km run. This is no small feat, but these young champions are motivated by a cause close to their hearts.

They are raising funds to support two important causes: the Children’s Departments at North Staffs Hospital (UHNM) and their own school’s forest school project.

The funds raised will go towards providing a new roof for the forest school at Walton Priory Middle School, a project that will greatly enhance the learning experience of the students. The remaining funds will be used to support the children’s departments at North Staffs Hospital UHNM, a cause that resonates deeply with our young triathletes.

These 17 children are not just participating in a triathlon; they are embodying the spirit of community and the power of young people to effect change. Their endeavour is a shining example of how even the smallest efforts can make a significant difference.
