Young ballet dancers training at Stone’s Rooftop Studios once again did their teachers proud in their recent Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) examinations. Ranging in age from 5 – 8 the junior ballet students were put forward for grades including Pre-Primary in Dance, Primary in Dance and Grade 1.
The school once again achieved a 100% pass rate with no less than five students awarded coveted distinctions; representing a mark of 75-100%. Studio Director, Laura Keeling, says:
“We’re extremely proud of the results and would like to say a big well done to all of the students – they worked very hard and have been a credit to themselves and their teachers. I would also like to say a huge thanks to our brilliant ballet teaching team Miss Emma Laval, Miss Katie Ray and Mrs Marjorie Eglington- their hard work, dedication and expert tuition helped our girls reach their potential.
“The fact that all of the students above pre-primary dance – where all who pass receive a class award – achieved merits or distinctions is testament to both students and teachers. It will be brilliant to see so many of our girls awarded silver and gold medals for their hard work.”
