Battercakes by the Bakers Man have been asked to go along and provide some street food for you too.
Look forward to seeing you there!

I’m VERY excited about the street party. What’s the plan re tables, chairs, bunting, flags?! Can we bring our own picnics? Are we allowed to birng our own booze to drink outside?

    • Hi Becks – there’s going to be tables and chairs provided and you can definitely take a picnic!!

I’m not sure about booze, though, because the whole High Street area’s an alcohol restriction zone so, basically, you can’t drink alcohol on the street (unless you buy it from The Crown or The Lounge and drink it in their outside seating areas).

Which seems a shame for the big day! I’m sure lots of people would like to raise a glass to the happy couple! I’m not sure if the restriction would or could be lifted for the street party. I’ll try and find out.

so another day that you can’t use the town. so another you can’t work cos the children are off. bothered??? a load of hype that noone is interested in. maybe if it wasn’t happening the council would have some money to fix the roads and sweep the pavements.
