Woman dies after A51 crash

Police have announced that the woman motorist who was involved in the crash on the A51 last week has died.

The 48-year-old driver of the Citreon died on Tuesday 29th November and was named today as Susan Jane Sharp from Salt, near Sandon.

Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses, who should call Sgt Jez Heath from Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 90 of 24th November.

The crash happened on the A51 Lichfield Road outside Aston Marina just after 7.30am on Thursday 24th November. The crash involved a grey Citreon C3, which was travelling towards Stone, and a green Fiat Seicento, which was travelling towards Sandon.
