Fish Records swims into Stone town

Fish Records, specialising in new CD and vinyl in folk, acoustic, alt-country and Americana, has set up shop in Stone

Starting life online in 1999 Fish Records has swum upstream through the music business. In 2012 the current owner, Peter Morgan, took over and in 2014 they widened their net to include concert promotion.

In May 2018 Peter decided that it was time to bring Fish Records to the High Street and explained to A Little Bit of Stone his reasons for that:

“With the growth in vinyl sales the time was right to invest in a physical record store as well as continuing the online business. As well as the retail business we also act as booking agent for a number of artists as well as gig promoter so the shop will act as a hub for these activities. We are hoping to do a number of in-store sessions with the artists we feature.

Stone provided the ideal location between Stafford and Stoke-on-Trent and has a good buzz to it with other thriving independent shops.”

Fish Records pride themselves on being a record store providing excellent customer service and a gateway to exploring wonderful music.

With regards to the records, there are new releases added to their website and they also have more stock, in particular vinyl, so why not pop along to see what’s on offer?

As well as the records the Fish Records website also sports a gig page for events and concerts that they’re promoting or are the booking agent for – Fish Records Gigs

You can find Fish Records in Unit 2, Crown Courtyard, Crown Street, Stone, Staffordshire, ST15 8UY
