We recently caught up with Man a Boot Town owner Jamie Healy to talk about the latest addition to Stone’s growing independent shops.
Jamie is from Etruria and initially spotted the shop in Stone 5 years ago when he fell in love with Stone following a visit.
At the time Jamie wasn’t able to take on the shop but kept a close and watchful eye on it. Following the vacation of the shop at the end of 2016, Jamie once again had the shop in his sights and began the long task of acquiring, renovating, refurbishing and stocking the shop.
Jamie explained “I have a real passion for retail and wanted to bring a dedicated menswear shop back to Stone. There was a need for affordable and quality menswear, so after a brainstorming session Man a Boot Town was born!”
The shop opening has been a long time coming, especially with technical delays on the “Point of Sale” system as well as a need for some extensive interior and exterior work. Despite the setbacks, Jamie chose June 13th to officially open his doors to the public and isn’t looking back.
“I’d like to thank Fresh Touch Painting and Decorating who have helped massively with the interior and exterior painting. Also a big thanks to Elite Signs for the fantastic sign over the front of the shop”
The new shop stocks a range of quality menswear and footwear items and Jamie is always on hand if needed to offer his advice, opinion and recommendations.
“I’ve had an amazing welcome to the town which has blown me away. From other local traders to members of the public everyone has been very supportive and welcoming, even bringing cards and presents. I’m genuinely looking forward to Man a Boot Town fitting into what is becoming a very vibrant High Street.”
If you’re hading along the High Street you can pop into Man a Boot Town Tuesday to Saturday, 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. You can also call the shop on 01785 749427.
