60 jobs up for grabs at new Wayfarer

Around 60 new jobs are being created at the new Wayfarer in Stone, which is currently being refurbished ahead of a reopening in December.

The owners of The Swan with Two Necks are carrying out an extensive £750,000 makeover and are looking for kitchen, waiting-on and bar staff who will benefit from training to the highest industry standards. Training will be led by Pascal Brichet, winner of the Good Food Awards Service Science trophy.

Recruitment has just started and there’s an opportunity for both experienced staff and those prepared to learn new skills before the December opening.

Swan With Two Necks director Richard Colclough said: ‘Our investment in staff training will be unprecedented. Ryan Maguire is moving to the pub as assistant manager after joining The Swan With Two Necks as a barman four years ago. He said: “I’m really thrilled about us taking over at the The Wayfarer. It’s such a shame to see places closing down and being neglected but our investment is rare in the local area during these uncertain financial times.

“The modern menu we have planned includes freshly made contemporary dishes as well as some traditional favourites. Staffordshire will be getting a venue which provides restaurant-quality food in the relaxed ambience of a country pub. I’m sure everyone will be impressed with the new interior, which our designers have worked so hard to achieve for the pub.”
