A group of travellers moved on to the Whitebridge Industrial Estate in Stone on Monday evening.
A police spokeswoman said they monitored the situation and that the travellers left the area on Tuesday morning. Workers from the industrial estate then blocked some of the access roads with forklift trucks to stop the travellers from returning. The group had initially tried to get on to Westbridge Park.
