Keen readers in the town have been invited to go along to the monthly meetings of Stone Book Club.
The group was set up in August 2012 by Helga Simmons.
She said: “We meet every second Wednesday of the month in a Stone pub. We start at 7.30pm and chat about that month’s book for an hour. We are a small, friendly group and many of us stay on for a chat after. Everyone’s welcome to come along and get involved.”
Past books that the group have looked at include The Great Gatsby by F Scott Fitzgerald, The State of the Art by Ian M Banks, Death Comes to Pemberley by P D James and A Street Cat Named Bob by James Bowen.
The next book is The Ocean At The End Of The Lane by Neil Gaimon, which will be discussed on Wednesday 8th October.

I would like to join as well but the Facebook page link isn’t working. Is the club still running? If not, could we start another one up again?
