Pensioner targeted in High St cashpoint theft

Police are hunting for thieves who stole cash from a pensioner after distracting him at a cashpoint in Stone High Street.

The incident happened on Thursday 27th November at approximately 12.15pm. A 66-year-old man from Stone was using the cash machine outside Lloyds Bank when he was distracted by three men. As the money was dispensed from the machine, one of the men took it while the victim was distracted.

One of the men is described as being in his mid-20s, Asian, medium build, dark moustache, dark hair, 5ft 9in tall. He was wearing a blue coat with black patches. The second man is described as being Asian, having a dark beard, short dark hair, medium build, 5ft 9in tall. He was wearing a beige leather style jacket. The third man is described as being Asian.
