A charity is holding an 11-mile sponsored walk at the end of November as it continues to mark its 40th anniversary year.
As part of the Ruth Dickson Trust’s fundraising efforts, an 11-mile sponsored walk – ‘Walking in Grandma’s Footsteps’ – will be held on Sunday 29th November, starting from The Plume of Feathers in Barlaston, taking in Stone en route before finishing in Stafford.
2015 marks a very special year for the Ruth Dickson Trust. Formed by Ruth, who was the then Mayor of Stafford Borough, the Trust has been raising additional funds for the benefit of the physically and mentally disabled in Staffordshire throughout this anniversary year.
To celebrate this milestone, the Trust is aiming to raise its profile, ably assisted by the charity’s cute and cuddly mascot Ruffie Bear, who will play a very important role in a number of fundraising events – including a selfie donation pledge.
