Rotary Club raise thousands for Children in Need

Members of Stone Rotary Club raised over £2,500 for Children in Need last month with their bucket collection in the town.

Rotarians asked motorists for money as vehicles stopped at traffic lights in Christ Church Way and Lichfield Street on Friday 19th November, raising £1,770 in donations. The Stone branch of Barclays donated an extra £750 to the fund, leading to a grand total of £2520.

Stone Rotary Club president Les Mason said he was particularly impressed with the large number of Alleyne’s High School students who contributed donations on the day.
