Through-the-night ghost hunt in Stone on 5th March

Direct Recruitment in Stone are holding another ghost hunt in the town following a hugely successful event last Halloween.

It takes place on Saturday 5th March, starting at 8.30pm and ending in the small hours of Sunday morning. It costs just £10 per person, with all proceeds again going to Cancer Research UK. Last October’s event raised hundreds of pounds for the charity.

A professional ghost-hunting group will be there on the night, at Direct Recruitment’s High Street Arcade base, with a range of recording equipment. It’s set to be a pretty frightening affair, with a seance and a Ouija board too, so it’s not for the faint hearted! Three mediums will also be giving private readings. And if you don’t want to be there for the whole ghost hunt evening, you can just book a one-to-one appointment with one of the mediums.

The ghost hunt is being organised by Vicky Davis at Direct Recruitment, an experienced ghost hunter herself and a firm believer in the paranormal.

Call Vicky on 01785 819880 or email vicky@directrecruitment-uk.co.uk to book your place for the ghost hunt and/or medium appointments

It’s thought that the priests from nearby Stone Priory, near where St Michael’s Church now stands, set up the brew house, which was eventually taken over by Francis Joule in 1781. Over the years, many Joule’s workers told stories of a canon haunting the building. Workers reported hearing footsteps and feeling a cold chill as if someone had brushed past them…[/box]
