Stone Lions’ third annual Post Plum Pudding Plod takes place around Swynnerton and Yarnfield on Sunday 23rd January.
Walkers will have a choice of routes varying from just over two miles to five-and-a-half miles to help them walk off some of that turkey and Christmas pud! The event was originally to be held on 28th December but was cancelled because of the bad weather.
Participants are being encouraged to raise money for a charity of their choice through sponsorship. Lions’ Club members will be fundraising for Oak Tree Farm Rural Project in Hilderstone, which provides training for people with learning disabilities.
The plod starts from the Labour in Vain pub in Meece Road, Yarnfield. Registration takes place between 9.30am and noon and you can pre-register for the walk by calling Dave Handley on 01785 812027.

What a brilliant idea! Get yourself moving – at any pace – and it will defintiely help to change how you feel about your health and well-being. Twin that with knowing you’re doing something to help others and WOW, what a brillaint day out. Then, when you get home and open the food cupboard and see all the left-over treats from the holiday period, I challenge you to put them all in a bag and give them away – or throw away the stuff that’s good for nobody! Make 2011 YOUR year for being slimmer, healthier and happier.
Happy New You, love Al.y x
