During the Christmas lights switch on we bumped in to Stone Lions member Mike Ward and we had a lovely chat about his amazing mum.
Lilian Ward from Stone celebrated her 107th birthday on the 10th November, and in doing so was added to the Oldest People in Britain website.
Currently number 174 on the list, Lilian celebrated her birthday with a family lunch at the Upper House at Barlaston where she was surrounded by her four sons and their wives.
Lilian is in remarkably good health for age, still living on her own and having good mobility. She can often be seen out and about in Stone enjoying a coffee or Fish and Chips at the cafe within Morrisons.

Lilian is the oldest resident in Stone and the third oldest in Staffordshire, as a comparison the person at number 1 on the list is 112 years old!
