Stone declares Independence Day as residents return 100% independent candidates.

Stafford Borough Council

It was a clean sweep in the Stafford Borough Council elections when it came to Stone’s two wards. The Stone representation swung from a four to one Conservative / Independent split to all five seats being taken by Independents.

Stone Town Council

Continuing on from the Borough Council results, the Parish Council results came in later Friday afternoon and saw a complete landslide victory for the Stone Independent candidates who secured all eighteen seats.. The town council had previously been split ten Stone Independent Councillors and eight Conservative Councillors.
