
St Saviour’s Church in Aston is holding a special exhibition to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the Authorised King James version of the Bible.
The exhibition is being held at the church from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th June. There will be readings on the hour throughout the weekend and lots of displays, including of Bibles through the years and a range of Bible stories.
Children from St Michael’s First School will be creating a display illustrating the Noah’s Ark story, St Michael’s Church will be contributing a display and some of the ladies from St Michael Archangel, Aston (Holy Michael’s) will be providing an illustration of Psalm 23. Other displays will include the Creation story, Moses in the Bulrushes and The Tower of Babel.
Entrance is free and refreshments are available. The exhibition is open from 11am to 5pm on the Friday and Saturday, and 12pm to 5pm on the Sunday. The celebration will conclude with a service of Sung Evensong at 6.30pm on the Sunday.
