New guidelines allow reopening of local parks & exercise areas

New government guidelines mean that several small parks and exercise areas will reopen next week, including some parts of Stonefield Park.

Stonefield Park

From Monday 25 May Stonefield Park, along with others around the county, will reopen. This will include the bowling green and tennis courts. The children’s play area will remain closed. Some specific signage and safety measures regarding hygiene and social distancing will be introduced.

Other parks & ares opening next week with similar signage & safety measures are Wildwood Park Tennis Courts, Stafford, and Riverway and Littleworth bowling greens (Stafford).

The Victoria Park green will remain closed because of the restoration work taking place, and the play area at Victoria Park remains closed in line with government advice

Social distancing and good hygiene practice must be adhered to on all sites or the position on having these areas open will be reconsidered.
