Retailers concerned about reopening their business following the Covid-19 lockdown are being encouraged to contact Stafford Borough Council for advice.
The council has put together advice that can help tackle issues retailers may encounter before getting back up and running. The call comes as many businesses will be preparing to reopen as part of the phased easing of lockdown announced by the Government earlier this month.

The local authority has recently announced a new £1.3 million funding pot would be made available in June to those who were not eligible for previous financial assistance. They have already handed out more than £22 million to small businesses as part of the Government-backed coronavirus grants scheme.
Councillor Jonathan Price, Cabinet Member for Environment, said the authority had been leading the way in its support for businesses during the ongoing Covid-19 crisis.
“So many retailers have faced the most devastating impact to their businesses, and we want to ensure they are able to start rebuilding their livelihoods without being tripped up by new regulations or measures that have come into force due to the pandemic.
“We want them to be successful and would rather they contacted us for advice on any concerns they have before opening their doors again.”
The Government announced proposals earlier this month for the future phased opening of non-essential retail where it is safe to do so, and subject to retailers being able to follow new COVID-19 guidelines.
He added: We have been in touch with so many outlets during the lockdown period to offer support, as our businesses will be integral to the economic recovery of the borough.”
