This week is Volunteer Week and I wanted to personally say thank you to the amazing volunteers that we have, both for ALBOS and the Stone Helpline, but also the many organisations in the town.
Firstly I’d like to say a massive thank you to Lauren who helps me out with ALBOS and co-ordinating the Stone Helpline, I really couldn’t do it without you Lauren!
On the Stone Helpline, we have almost 200 volunteers helping out those in need within the town. Thankfully the demand for the Helpline hasn’t required a lot of them but I’m so grateful to know that they are there if needed.
Within our town, we also have numerous organisations doing great work, from Stone Community Hub which is providing valuable food parcels, to organisations like Stone Lions and the Stone Rotary Club.
There are groups such as Friends of Stonefield Park who work to plant and maintain this Stone gem as well as many local residents groups and community organisations.
Things like Scouts, Guides and Brownies wouldn’t be available in the town without the army of volunteers that support the running of them.
From ALBOS I want to say THANK YOU to everyone, I’ve listed a few groups here that use volunteers, feel free to comment your own thanks.
