Director for Health and Care at Staffordshire County Council, Dr Richard Harling, said: “Getting tested regularly is the best way to contain the spread of Covid-19 along with following the rules on social distancing and household mixing. Now that more businesses have reopened and people are meeting outdoors again, the virus will have more opportunities to spread and more people could carry it without realising it.

“Getting a rapid test is quick and easy, whether at a testing site or at home, and we’re working to ensure communities have as many opportunities to get tested in their local area as possible. It’s great that Stone Dominoes FC are helping with this and I’d encourage anybody local to go down and get a test this weekend.”

Testing for people without symptoms has never been easier in Staffordshire, with a range of community testing sites and pop-ups across the county offering rapid testing options, including testing kits to use a home.. More information can be found at www.staffordshire.gov.uk/testing

Anyone with symptoms of Covid-19 should book a test on www.nhs.uk/coronavirus or by calling 119.
