With site safety of paramount importance to the Stone based companies that are currently renovating the former Radford Street Police Station, they reached out to the head teacher of Christchurch First School to ask if the children would design safety posters.
The renovators; CCP Developments Ltd in conjunction with the Stone firm Vickers Plant Services, will be displaying the designs on the site fencing.
County Councillor Jill Hood had the hard task of judging the entries. She told A Little Bit of Stone: “The children did not disappoint designing posters, and they should be very proud of their work in highlighting the dangers of building sites in their art. Choosing the winners was a difficult task!
“It was fantastic to see how excited the children were, especially at the kindness shown by the Stone developers who made the children’s day very special.”
