During the summer plans were submitted to Stafford Borough Council to convert Dan’s Motorcycles on the A34 into a Starbucks drive-thru, creating up to 25 jobs on the site.
The plans show a Starbucks drive-thru, supported by a number of parking bays and 2 EV charging points on the former motorcycle and car showroom plot.
The application summary states: Alterations and refurbishment to convert existing showroom to a Starbucks Drive Through, including external layout alterations, new signage and landscaping.
The planning application states that there are ten full time and fifteen part-time job opportunities for the site with operational times stated as 5:00 am until 11:00 pm every day of the week.
The application, understandably, also includes references to a number of illuminated signs, including a totem style sign.
Stone Town Council, along with a number of other organisations, have been consulted on the application and will consider the planning application in line with the Stone Neighbourhood plan when it comes before the town’s planning review committee.
The consultation runs until the 12th October and you can view the planning application details directly on the Stafford Borough Council planning portal at -> 21/34338/FUL

Why do we need 25 minimum wage jobs in a place with low unemployment and 1million vacancies in the UK. Reject planning, we need high quality employment, not this tripe who try and pay as little tax as possible!

Hell no. There are far too many food places in Stone. We need other trades for a more diverse and sustainable income for the area. If we have another lock down then that drive thru will close.
