The former Reggie’s is to undergo a quick refurbishment as Bloom Bars have chosen Stone as the town for their third venue, adding to their Hanley and Newcastle bars.
Jack Hardy and Ian Orton are the dynamic duo behind the brand, and we caught up with them to find out more about what they will be offering. For those with a keen memory, you may remember Jack’s name from when we covered the business that he has with his mum – Suitcase Dry Cleaners.
Jack and Ian met 12 years ago when they were working for different late-night venues. Between them, they have a wealth of experience working in hospitality – restaurants, bars & late-night venues.
The pair told A Little Bit of Stone:
“We had a mutual desire to bring something creatively different to north Staffordshire, opening our first venue in Hanleys cultural quarter in 2019, followed by our second site in Newcastle-Under-Lyme in 2021.
It’s great to be coming to Stone, we actually discussed looking at Stone for our 2nd venture but opted for Newcastle due to an opportunity that arose perfectly at the time.”
They went on to add on what drew them to Stone:
“We chose Stone as it’s a great vibrant town, with pleasant surroundings. We hope to complement the existing businesses that are already here whilst creating a safe, relaxed and enjoyable experience for our customers.
A number of our current customers had suggested Stone as the next place for us to go, so here we are!
The people we have met so far have been really friendly and welcoming, and look forward to meeting many more as we open our doors.”
Leading on, Jack and Ian told us about what Bloom Stone will offer:
“We are a cocktail bar/restaurant concept which offers quirky, quality cocktails that hopefully you haven’t seen elsewhere.
Our food offering is predominantly made up of our small plates menu – relaxed, easy dining, similar to tapas style.
We have a Bottomless Brunch offering which has been extremely popular with our existing customers in our other sites, available at weekends.
Our roof-top terrace, which we are currently renovating, will be perfect for those long hot summer days.
Additionally, we offer a number of celebratory packages, hosting birthdays, baby showers and hen parties.
Our aim is to bring the big city vibe to the locals doorstep too!
We are predominantly a female lead business, where we try to offer a safe, relaxed enjoyable experience – 75% of our current business are females- of course men are welcome too!!”
The team are currently at work refurbishing the building and hope to open early September. They are currently assessing their opening hours for launch. The current venues trade Tuesday-Sunday from midday until 11 pm during the week and midnight at weekends.
