There’s no running away from the seriousness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest; however, Stone-based charity AED Donate hopes a spooktacular family fun run can help raise vital funds to support our local communities.
Amber Mottershead, who works for AED Donate, told A Little Bit of Stone:
“We are committed to improving survival from out-of-hospital cardiac arrests, supporting the placement and use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED) in local communities.
We achieve this by giving communities the opportunity to fundraise or purchase an AED, which can then be registered with your local Ambulance Trust for use in an Emergency.
This will help protect communities from the UK’s biggest killer, Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA).
On the 9th of October, we will be holding a fun run for all ages at Stafford Castle. Tickets cost £5 each, with all money being donated to the Charity.
There will be lots of fun things on such as Live Music, Entertainment, Food Vans and it will also be free parking. We hope to see a great turnout and to see you there!”
