Step onto the green as Stone Crown Bowling Club welcomes new members

Stone Crown Bowling Club

Looking to try something new, meet friendly faces, and enjoy the outdoors? Stone Crown Bowling Club is inviting the community to its Open Day on Sunday 6th April from 11am to 4pm.

A proud tradition in Stone

Established in 1892, the club has a rich history of providing a sociable and welcoming space for bowling enthusiasts. Unlike competitive league clubs, Stone Crown Bowling Club focuses on friendly, non-league play, making it the perfect place to enjoy the sport in a relaxed setting.

Run by a dedicated team of volunteers, the club’s mission is to encourage full community participation in crown green bowling. Set in a picturesque location on the edge of Stone, the clubhouse and green offer stunning views over the town, the Shropshire Hills, and The Wrekin.

A modern clubhouse with a warm welcome

The club’s current facilities, completed in 2008, are located near Little Stoke Cricket Ground and include changing rooms, a function space, kitchen, and accessible toilets. With its own private car park, the clubhouse is not just a hub for bowling but also a great space for social events.
