November brings a record month for us on Facebook

November became our busiest month on Facebook since we started A Little Bit of Stone, with more people watching, reading and interacting with our posts than ever before.

Across the month our content was viewed more than four million times. Most of that came from the steady flow of daily updates, although one particular story changed the shape of the month completely.

ALBOS Facebook Reach

The viral moment that pushed the numbers higher

The news about Stone’s new underground cocktail bar, Thanks for Coming, spread far beyond the town. It was shared widely, reached readers we had never touched before and became the single biggest driver of views in November.

That story set off the spike on the graph, but the rest of the month was far from quiet. Our Remembrance Parade live stream gathered strong interest across the community, with many returning to watch it back afterwards. The video of the Remembrance postbox topper at the Walton shops also pulled in a large and steady audience, helped by local sharing and the amount of care that went into the display.

What the numbers actually mean

Facebook labels can be a bit technical, so here is what sat behind the totals.
Views are simply the number of times our posts, videos, stories or ads were shown or played. That is where the four million figure comes from.
3 second views measure how many times someone watched one of our reels for at least three seconds. Replays are not counted, which keeps the number clean and meaningful.
Visits track the number of times people clicked through to our page. November passed one hundred thousand, which is the highest we have seen.
Interactions bring together likes, reactions, comments, shares and saves. This helps show how active the conversations were around our posts.
Followers count how many people chose to join the page during the month, which again reached a new high.

A busy month shaped by both big stories and everyday ones

Planning updates, police reports, local events, school notices and community stories continued to carry the bulk of the daily traffic. It was the combination of these steady posts with the viral moment and the Remembrance pieces that created the record breaking month.

Even without the cocktail bar story, the everyday numbers would still have shown an uplift. It was clear from the comments, shares and returning readers that more people than usual were keeping an eye on what was happening in Stone.

What it means for us

We are a small independent site run here in Stone and these figures show just how many people rely on us for day to day updates.

We are grateful for every visit, share and follow. November brought new readers, new conversations and a reminder that community news travels far when people find something worth passing on.

December will bring its own rhythm, but November now sits as our best month yet.
