A new clinical service has opened in Stone town centre, bringing psychological support, speech and language therapy, and occupational therapy into a central location on Station Road.

Omega Life Clinical is based at 13 Station Road, Stone, and is the second premises for the company with the original offices opening in Prescot, Liverpool last year.
Omega Life Clinical is led by Dr Carly Pointon, a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Director, alongside Managing Director of Omega Life Alex Aresti.
For Dr Pointon, the move into Stone felt like a natural step.
“When the shop became available I knew the town centre location was a brilliant place to expand in” she said.
“It allows my local links to grow and to be able to provide services and community groups for those often enquiring in Stone and Staffordshire.”
Bringing a range of support under one roof
Omega Life Clinical offers support for children, adults and families, as well as schools, workplaces and staff teams. The service covers Psychological and Psychotherapeutic support, along with Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy.
Sessions can take place in schools, workplaces, online, or in the Stone therapy rooms. The team can work with a vast range of presentations and diagnosis including Support to Education (SEND).
The team says this can include one to one therapy, group work, assessments, consultation sessions, training and advice.

Dr Pointon said the aim is to combine professional expertise with a bespoke personal approach.
“At Omega Life Clinical we are committed to offering exceptional services that enable children, adults, staff and families to strive for healthy mental health and wellbeing,” she said.
“We take great satisfaction in fusing evidence-based practice with a kind, person centred methodology.”
The wider clinical team includes a new Clinical Lead and Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, Finn Garner. Carly said, “Finn’s already made her mark in our services as a contractor and I am over the moon that she is bringing her 25 years experience into the management team”.
There is also access to Occupational Therapy, an Occupational Therapy Apprentice and Clinical Team Officer, Senior Assistant Psychologists, Carly supervises Trainee Clinical Psychologists from Staffordshire University on placement, and a new Senior Psychotherapist due to start in May.
A new base in Stone
Dr Pointon has worked across a wide range of settings over more than two decades, including charities, schools, residential homes, special educational needs settings, the courts and HM Prison Service. Her background also includes senior leadership roles overseeing clinical services across the UK.
She has also been running Pointon Psychology alongside her leadership roles since 2020 and says Omega Life Clinical builds on that experience while creating something new in Stone.
“Other towns, like Stoke and Stafford, have local access to services like this,” she said.
“Whilst there are other great therapeutic providers in the area, our service includes a range of clinicians with a very specific set of goals, many years experience and a town centre location to see people in. I am very proud of the team and what they have to offer.
“Accessing the right therapeutic support in a timely manner is vital for many people and services to education, it is our goal to ensure that the people of Stone and the surrounding areas can access this.”
The business also hopes to create a community space in Stone for local groups and families, where awareness work, training and direct support can take place.
Therapy rooms and the training facilities at the premises are also available to rent. Carly said “we would like to collaborate with other therapists and practitioners who would like to hire the space. This widens the opportunities for people to access therapies under one roof”.
Other businesses can also hire the training area with access to an interactive whiteboard, seating for up to 18 people, a kitchen, toilet and town centre location.
