Stone resident Mike Halliday has fulfilled a long held dream after taking to the skies in a World War Two Spitfire.
Mike’s flight took place from Tattenhill Airfield, near Burton upon Trent, on Sunday 26 April, did you spot him mid afternoon flying overhead?
Photos shared after the flight show Mike receiving his flight certificate, standing beside the Spitfire, and waving from the cockpit during the experience.
