An elderly man has been taken to hospital with life threatening injuries after a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Stone.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said it was called at 9.45am to the junction of Yarnfield Lane and the A34.
One ambulance, a paramedic officer, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic, and a Community First Responder attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson told A Little Bit of Stone
“We were called at 9.45am to a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian at the junction of Yarnfield Lane and the A34 in Stone. One ambulance, a paramedic officer, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic and a Community First Responder (CFR) attended the scene.
“Upon arrival we found an elderly man who was the pedestrian being cared for by an off-duty paramedic and an off-duty critical care paramedic. He was assessed by ambulance staff and had sustained life-threatening injuries. He received advanced trauma care at the scene before being conveyed to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further treatment.”
