Stone fine dining restaurant Cavalli is celebrating after winning Best Restaurant of the Year at the Curry Life Awards 2026.
The Lichfield Street Indian restaurant picked up the national award at a ceremony at the InterContinental London Park Lane on Sunday 4 October.
More than 500 guests attended the event, which was hosted by BBC presenters Jon Kay and Luxmy Gopal. Guests included figures from the hospitality industry and a number of MPs, including former minister Dawn Butler.
The award follows a nomination and judging process which began with customers voting for their favourite restaurants, chefs and takeaways.
Once shortlisted, businesses are visited by the Curry Life awards team to gather further information, before judges make anonymous visits to help decide the winners.
For the Cavalli team, the award comes after building a strong local following in Stone, with the restaurant currently holding a 4.9 rating from more than 2,000 Google reviews.
Cavalli prides itself on quality throughout the dining experience, from its team of highly experienced chefs to the decor and surroundings of the restaurant and the care and attention provided by its front of house team.
The team told A Little Bit of Stone that it wanted to thank customers for their support since the restaurant opened and hoped the award would also encourage new diners to visit.
“We’re incredibly proud to have won Best Restaurant of the Year at the Curry Life Awards, and we want to say a huge thank you to every customer who has visited and supported us over the last two years.
“From the beginning, we wanted Cavalli to offer something special, with great food, experienced chefs, beautiful surroundings and a team that genuinely cares about every customer who walks through the door.
“This award means a great deal to all of us. We hope our regular customers are as proud as we are, and we’d love to welcome new customers who want to come and experience some of the finest Indian dining in the country for themselves.”
Cavalli opened at 3 Lichfield Street in October 2024, following a major transformation of the former Mojos restaurant.
ALBOS attended the opening night on Thursday 24 October 2024 and found a restaurant that had undergone an extensive refurbishment across its two floors. Our review also highlighted the experience of the staff, along with the food, service and attention given to the restaurant’s interior.
Almost two years on, Cavalli is open from 5.30pm seven nights a week, offering dine in and takeaway menus.
The restaurant is also taking bookings for Christmas parties, while its Christmas Day lunch will offer a choice of both English and Indian dishes.
Cavalli can be found at 3 Lichfield Street, Stone, Staffordshire, ST15 8NA.
Bookings and enquiries can be made by calling 01785 816161, while menus and further information are available from the Cavalli website.
