Well done to everyone who took part in the Stone Festival carnival parade this afternoon – see if you can spot yourself in this video!
There were some brilliant floats as schools, charities, community groups and more made sure that the parade was a big success – despite the abysmal weather. The parade left ABB in Oulton Road and made its way down Radford Street, around the ring road and to Westbridge Park. Log on to www.stonefestival.co.uk for more information and float prizes.

great to see, didn’t see anyone I know, well I did leave Stone 45 years ago but I have returned several times a year since I left. Saw some interesting cars from over here too – I haven’t seen them around Stone before. Good job to all,

So much effort goes into the floats – the walking groups and
the lorries – well done to all the groups who took part. We cannot control the weather
but I think the whole Festival team pulled together wonderfully on Saturday to make
it all happen.

the weather was terrible but the children really enjoyed it! everybody who was there made such an effort, it would have been better if more schools and groups had joined in though. all in all a brilliant parade.
