It was a case of hair today gone tomorrow for Jack Taylor as the young Stone chef had his head shaved for charity in memory of his nan.
Just last weekend his flowing locks were on show as he cooked in the demonstration tent at the Stone Food and Drink Festival. Today, at the fundraiser for the Douglas Macmillan Hospice and Stone Chernobyl Children’s Project at Stone Cricket Club, Jack had his hair shaved off to raise money for both charities after his nan passed away at the hospice.
Jack said: “My hair went today in memory of my nan. She will be looking down on everyone today who has raised money for two great causes. I have done this to prove that having cancer isn’t fun and this is one of the outcomes of cancer. Thank you to everyone who has sponsored me and donated so far.”
