Salvation Army charity shop for High Street

Peter on his final day at Buy ‘n’ Save in June

A Salvation Army charity shop will be opening in Stone High Street next March in the empty Buy ‘n’ Save unit.

The shop has been empty since June when Buy & Save’s Peter and Gaynor retired after 42 years in the town centre, 35 at the current location at 37 High Street. More about that HERE.

The new charity shop will be run by the Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd – more about them HERE. The company has applied to Stafford Borough Council to change the main sign and also to install a ‘projecting’ sign at the face of the building above the shop. The shop is in the Stone town centre conservation area so planning permission is required.

Stone Town Council will discuss the application at their planning meeting on 11th December before a decision is made by the borough council in January.
