The community of Stone is set to come together again throughout December as the town is transformed into a giant Advert Calendar. Entering its 7th year this years theme is Advent Alphabet.
This modern day tradition is a real community event which if you haven’t experienced it before make sure you have a look at our stories, photos and videos from the previous six years.
Christ Church has once again done a terrific jobs of co-ordinating the Advent Windows event. Twenty-four shop fronts and businesses along the High Street and around Stone town centre will be hosting creative displays made by schools, nurseries and other community organisations on the theme of the Christmas story.
The windows will be unveiled each day at 11am from 1st December to Christmas Eve and this years theme is the Advent Alphabet.
The event culminates with a special event on Christmas Eve – a marathon Carol singing walk will take place – starting at the Lock Keepers Salon on Stafford Street at 9.30am carollers can sing their way up the High Street arriving for the final opening at 11am at Christ Church. Mince pies and refreshments will be served for all at the Christ Church Centre after the final window opening.
The windows will remain in place and on display until the 2nd January 2017
