Over Easter weekend, Stone waterside eatery Aston Marina welcomed families to its annual Charity Easter Egg Hunt.
Youngsters were challenged with finding cluse hidden around the marina’s extensive grounds to win themselves a chocolate egg while helping raise funds for local charity The Peter Pan Centre.
As well as taking part in the egg hunt challenge, families had the opportunity to book a boat ride around the marina, which proved especially popular. All proceeds from the event are being donated to Newcastle-under-Lyme based charity the Peter Pan Centre for Children with Special Needs, which is devoted to supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities right from the moment they are born until they start school.
Marina director, Helen Clayton, says:
“We are delighted to have raised £888.61 this year through our charity Easter egg hunt, which will go directly to the Peter Pan Centre to support the amazing work it does in our community and beyond. We’d like to take the opportunity to thank all the families who turned out despite the somewhat unseasonal weather to take part and help raise funds for this very worthy cause. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!”
