Housebuilder Taylor Wimpey will unveil its plans for around 215 new homes on the Bibby Scientific site in Walton at a public exhibition on Monday 27th January.

The drop-in event takes place at Walton Community Centre in Whitemill Lane between 2pm and 8pm.

Outline planning permission for the development (of up to 244 homes) was granted by Stafford Borough Council last year. The proposals on view on the 27th January will deal with property design, landscaping and development layout. Taylor Wimpey say a full planning application will be submitted soon.

If this gets permission Walton island. Is going to be gridlocked. Over two hundred houses each with two parking spaces accessed only from north bound A34. Put another way, any of the occupants wishing to rive to South to Stafford , Rugeley  etc will have to turn left onto A34 drive to Walton roundabout to turn back down the A34 to their destination! Add into the mix the hundreds more coming down Eccleshall Road from that new development and Walton’s got a major problem.

  • Great news, I just hope the 600-800 extra people( say 3-4 per house) don’t expect to see a Doctor or get treatment at a local hospital in the relatively near future!
