As reported in August, B&M has taken over the vacant Co-op building in Stone’s High Street
The discount retailer has today announced that the former Co-Op store will open its doors as a B&M for the first time on Friday 9th November at 9am.
The new store will provide a welcome boost to the High Street and will create 40 jobs for local people at the site on the High Street.
B&M is one of the UK’s fastest growing retailers and Stone customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded products including toys, food & drink, pet range, health & beauty and homewares, as well as their own fresh and frozen department.
B&M Area Manager, Tim Bailey, told A Little Bit of Stone:
“We’re really excited to be opening our first ever store in Stone and we hope customers are going to be delighted with it.
“We’ve just got the keys so the team are currently working hard to transform the site so we can get the doors open and welcome our new customers through the door in a few weeks.”
When we reported in August about the new B&M store we received one of the highest amounts of comments, likes and shares on social media. Even the other local independent stores are welcoming the increased footfall that a new B&M store will bring to the town.
As soon as the job openings become available we’ll be sure to share the news.
