Stafford Borough’s crematorium and cemeteries – including Stone – have retained their gold standard in a national scheme for the service they provide.
The borough council-run crematorium on Tixall Road, Stafford, achieved Gold status from the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management for the fourth year in a row, along with the town’s Eccleshall Road Cemetery and Stone Cemetery.

The award is recognition of all the hard work that goes into running the service and we will continue to deliver the high standards that residents, and those outside the borough, have come to expect.”[/box]
The ICCM is a national body that recognises good practice in the running of crematoria and the judging is based on various aspects of the work of the bereavement service including cremations, burials, maintenance of the grounds and back office functions.
