Rooftop Studios in Stone has launched a series of new breakdancing classes for boys.
Taking place every Wednesday evening at the purpose-built studio above the Co-op Arcade off the High Street, the classes are split into three age groups from three to nine-and-over.
Manchester-based Sam McCrea, who has a successful career both as a solo artist and as a member of popular dance crew NGC under his belt, leads the classes. During his time with the crew, he was mentored by international dance artist B-boy Justroc and has taken part in numerous hip hop and street dance events across the UK.

We teach several other forms of dance in our studios, but B-boying – or breakdancing – is currently very popular with kids and teenagers all over the world, and we have had a fantastic initial response from parents registering their interest.
“Although spaces are filling up fast, there are still some left across the three age groups – and there is no charge for the first lesson so boys can try a class to see if they like it before committing.”[/box]
