Police have had to cordon off part of the car park at Westbridge Park this morning after bottles were taken from the recycling bins and smashed, leaving glass all over the car park.
This vandalism follows a spate of graffiti that’s been sprayed across the town. Click here for more details on that. It’s been a sad week – let’s hope the police catch up with these vandals very soon.

Not saying its good at all….but nothing for the younger generation to do in stone anymore…i used to love the pictures in town and the parks that are no longer there….instead of building houses do something for the kids.

I agree with all your comments but actually the security camera has not been working for over 6 months now and i believe these have all been planned attacks howcome there has benn graffiti and this is under 1 week this is the work of the younger generation and it needs sorting or everything is going to get ruined including houses and it will turn out eventually as someone getting severely hurt or even killed as bad as it sounds it potentially could come to it!! More police patrols are needed but they are all sent to stafford as it is a ‘saturday night’ share them properley and get better powers for pcso’s they do a crap job at the moment as they dont have any powers!!!!

Hello Jack, I understand your frustration over the vandalism and the graffiti but I’m surprised you say the CCTV isn’t working and have tagged this posting on your Facebook page giving hundreds of people this mis-information. Have you stopped to think what will happen now you’ve wrongly told the world we have no CCTV. I wonder where you got your information from. I can assure you the security cameras ARE working.

The last time i spoke with one of the controllers of the cameras which was last week they clearly told the group that it was not working and hasn’t been for 6 months! Unfortunatley this may be false or maybe true however it is it needs manning more and better!! Also, i do believe that the only reason why people are doing this is because there is NOTHING! Nothing at all to do in stone for kids and the younger generation and it needs sorting! As a councillor you should listen so here i am saying “we need some more things to do” use it and use it wise!!
