It’s a great opportunity to see wonderful, prize-winning chrysanthemums and dahlias at one the last remaining traditional flower shows in the Midlands. It’s open from 2pm until 4pm and admission is free. Tea and coffee available.

Before that, thought, the society hold their next talk on Thursday 4th September at 7.45pm at Christ Church Centre in Stone. Entrance £1.50 including tea/coffee and biscuits.

The talk – from Brian Ellis of Avondale Nurseries near Coventry – is called ‘Roots and Shoots – all you need to know about propagation’.

The nursery was featured on Gardeners’ World last year. Roy Lancaster is writing an article on the nursery for the RHS Garden magazine, and they have also featured in June’s edition of English Garden and September’s House and Gardens magazine.
