Co-op v Morrisons in charity challenge!

Two Stone supermarkets will be going head to head on the football field in a special match to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust and the British Heart Foundation.

The match will take place on Westbridge Park on Sunday 28th October at 4pm and has been organised by Jon Robinson and colleagues in memory of two people from Stone whose lives were tragically cut short – Ryan Banks died on 5th November 2011 from cancer aged just 19; Tim Perry died on 22nd January 2010 from a heart condition. Tim too was just 19.

You can donate to the charities now in both supermarkets and there will be collection buckets at the match on Sunday – so please support if you can.

The organisers need some nets for the goalposts on Westbridge Park for the big match – please get in touch if you can help by mailing news@alittlebitofstone.com and we’ll pass your details on.
